Covid-19 Operational Plan

In "Red" and "Orange" recovery phases, all appointments will take place virtually. 

During the "Yellow" recovery phase, virtual appointments are offered and encouraged, though a limited number of face-to-face appointments will be offered to those who need them.

For face-to-face sessions during the "Yellow" recovery phase:

  1. Any client who exhibits ANY symptoms or has had contact with a possible COVID-19 case is required to contact Third House Counselling to reschedule a face-to-face appointment or advise of need for a virtual appointment;

  2. Waiting room is closed; clients will notify therapist of their arrival by phone or text. Clients are required to attend appointment on time (not early) to avoid contact with other clients. Therapist will consult with Bridge to Wellness Counselling and Consulting to ensure no contact occurs between clients of the two agencies;

  3. All clients will be screened (COVID-19 Questionnaire) upon arrival at the office. A positive screen will result in cancellation of appointment and the client will be billed for the full session fee; a negative screen will permit client to enter the therapist's office after washing their hands with the hand sanitizer supplied; 

  4. Clients must wear a mask while entering the office; once they are settled onto the couch and distanced (six feet away from therapist), they may choose to remove their mask, but will be encouraged to keep it on. The therapist will be masked throughout the session;
  5. Payments will be accepted by e-transfer only;

  6. Clients are encouraged to avoid touching any surfaces, and,

  7. Therapist will self-screen with updated COVID-19 screening prior to every appointment and will inform clients via their preferred method of communication if their appointment needs to take place virtually or be rescheduled.
